Meet Your Practitioner

Samantha Kadrmas M.Ac, L.Ac

Samantha KadrmasI began my journey in acupuncture as a patient in 2003. It seemed that everywhere I went I heard people praising the value of acupuncture and how it was positively benefiting their lives. I was curious to see how acupuncture could change my life too. I quickly found myself walking through the world with more ease and experiencing more stable emotions than ever before. My senses were opened, my immune system incredibly strong, and my wellness came from within.

Regarding my qualifications, “M.Ac.” means that I received a Master of Acupuncture degree from Maryland University of Integrative Health, most recently known as Tai Sophia. “L.Ac.” means that the State of Maryland licenses me to practice acupuncture.

I am so honored to be part of this three thousand year old tradition of using needles and conversation to reunite people with their body’s wisdom and wellness. I am confident that acupuncture is helpful to anyone in lessening difficult symptoms and maintaining health. I am passionate about partnering with my patients and turning their dis-ease and into ease!

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the College of NJ teaching musicians from age 2-82 in preschools, universities and beyond. From classroom to community choirs we shared the joy of music. My MM in Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance prepared me to proudly serve my country as a member of the Soldiers’ Chorus of The US Army Field Band for 10 years. I was able to tour the country and have many performance opportunities including both recent presidential funerals, performing with the London Symphony, the Boston Pops, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Through the Army, I met my trombonist husband and started my next chapter as a stay at home mother and caregiver.

As my children went off to school, so did I. Acupuncture was so ingrained in my life and I was compelled to study it. After three years of extensive study, two years of an amazing mentorship, my mentors have invited me to practice with them at Acuworks in Columbia, MD!
